Youth Sailing Program
Overview
The mission of the Twin Lakes Sailing Club Youth Sailing Program is to introduce kids to the enjoyment of sailing and teach them a lifelong sport. TLSC offers sailing opportunities for kids on and around Lake Elizabeth. The two types of sailboats that often participate are Opt's and Sunfish. We offer lessons on select Thursday and Fridays in the summer and provide other sailing opportunities throughout the summer.
What are the Benefits
Sailing is a lifelong sport that is perfect for active people who spend time on a lake. Sailors can choose to sail for fun and/or race against other boats. Sailing can be a very physical sport that uses many muscles while learning to problem solve and master a skill. In addition, you learn about wind direction and speed, sportsmanship and water safety. One other big benefit is participants get to meet other youth in Twin Lakes. Lessons are included with all TLSC Sailing Memberships.
To participate in the sailing program, join the club as a "Sailing" Family Member. Once you are a member, contact John Wolaver at sailorjfw@hotmail.com.
